|Battlefield 3 Beta
Battlefield 3 BETA ended on Oct 10,
the official game will release on Oct 25.
we played 1 map "Operation Metro" 32/32 for the entire BETA.
Some were able play "Caspien Bay" Only 1 server 64/64.
The game had a lot of new features other games do not have.
Like Sniper scope glare, and Tactical lights on weapons that can be blinding (even to teammates). Alot of people were very happy with these new features, while some are outraged.
I had no problems playing the game as long as hackers were not present, and I believe there were hackers, and several glitches that need to be worked out. keeping in mind Punkbuster was not used in the BETA, I'm sure that will help game develper DICE plan against hacking. I know DICE will polish this game as they have proved to do so in the past with BF2, BF2142, and Bad Company 2.
I'm happy with DICE/EA deciding to make changes to the Battlefield series, otherwise why even make a new game.. If it's going to be the same just play the Call Of Duty Series... Joking.. But really when is a game considered new when using 10 year old game engines. seems like new games are really just new map packs.
These are just my opinions on the game,
I can't wait for the official release.

|Loading up Win Vista 64-Bit Ultimate on an E5300 GT240 2GB DDR2
I will be testing several games over next 2-3 weeks.
- Battlefield: 3
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- Battlefield: Heroes
- Battlefield: Play4Free
- Left 4 Dead 2
- Need for Speed: World
- Call Of Duty: Black Ops
I may even test some other games like Crysis, BF2142, etc...
- Intel E5300 Dual Core 2.6GHZ
- Intel G41 DG41TY Motherboard
- EVGA GT240 512MB GDDR5 550MHZ
- Corsair XMS2 2GB DDR2/800 Ram
- Western Digital Cavier SE 1600AAJS 160GB
- Zalman CNPS 9700 LGA_775 CPU Cooler
- Lite-On CD/DVD-RW Optical Drive
- PC Power & Cooling Silencer 420 Watt PSU
- Rosewill Case
The reason for these tests, is I have always liked to benchmark a PC @ min specs to play games. I believe this is the best budget rig for gaming. I am very curious to see the results with BF3 as I think it will fail this time. However I'm sure the system can be configured to run low settings, and still a decent gaming experience.
I'll post the tests as they happen over the next few weeks.
This softwaer is so fun, right now me and my brother are viewing another computer at the same, that's 3 tiers down..|
